I have to say, I find this blog, The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks, very funny. If you like to mock unnecessary quotation marks as much as I do, this blog's for you.

Haha! Me too. I'm far from the greatest editor on earth, but after enough years working the desk in the AP, I'm competent.
Boy does it drive me crazy when I find the most obvious, ridiculous typos/dropped words/poor punctuation, etc., in what is otherwise very expensive looking marketing materials.
I keep asking my husband why these people won't hire me, or someone like me, to at least look things over before spending all that money on publishing them.
I've wondered if I proofread things like that and send them back to the company all marked up if perhaps I could earn some cash. But probably not enough to be worth my time. The business world just doesn't seem to appreciate good writers and good editors and rarely pays them what they're worth.
